While making the rounds, Connie has sung with name musicians—the Johnny Gabor Trio, the Frank Pellico Orchestra, Franz Benteler, Rusty Jones, Johnny Frigo.
Connie has sung the National Anthem at White Sox games (Cellular Field) and performed pre-game shows at Bulls games (United Center). As well, she has appeared by special request at various casinos, corporate events and political dinners. Many telethons have featured Connie.
To her credit, Connie has produced three inclusive CDs. These are aptly titled Connie Marshall – At Last; Sway; and Inspired. She has appeared as a guest singer on others’ recordings while starring in an instructional CD that teaches grammar school-age children South American songs.
Her recordings are regularly broadcast on WDCB-90.9 FM radio, which features her in two of its ongoing programs, “Midwest Ballroom” and “All Things Jazz.” An alumna of the American Conservatory of Music, Connie has formally trained in operatic and musical theatre.
In summary, Connie believes that music is the best way to express emotions of all kinds. She alludes to the great Duke Ellington who wrote, “You’ve got to find some way of saying it.” Well, Connie has found her own way—to sing it.
